This course will provide participants with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively manage project stakeholders. The rationale for stakeholder management is simply that projects affect people. The more people affected, the more likely it is that project players’ actions will impact people who have power and influence over projects. These people could be strong supporters of a project, or they could block it. Their interests might be financial, social, technical, environmental, positive or negative. Accepting that the purpose of every project is to satisfy stakeholders, their role is to be the ultimate judge of a project's success.
