What is BusinessData?
Introduction to BusinessData
BusinessData is a platform that establishes a direct link between a client’s computer and the MED registers. The client’s software replaces the web browser as the means of transmitting raw data to and from our registers. The data returned from our registers can be formatted and integrated directly into the client’s business systems.
You or your system software provider can develop an interface to these web services to simplify the processes of managing your business transactions with us.
Advantages of using BusinessData
If you are a high volume user of our registers, then BusinessData may be a viable option for you and your business to consider.
The BusinessData system offers two key advantages:
- The system facilitates high volume processing for users who conduct a large number of transactions; and
- Data can be taken directly from the client’s system reducing the need to re-enter information on our websites and the risk of data entry errors.
Costs of using BusinessData
No additional charges are applied to utilise the BusinessData service.
Clients will incur their own costs for development (or purchase) of software to interact with our BusinessData service.
For any transactions submitted via the BusinessData service they will be subject to the fees prescribed in the current fee schedules for the relevant register that you are using.
