In 1996 the New Zealand Companies Office shifted the paper registry service into an online environment. With the use of leading edge technology and efficient service our systems have been recognised nationally and internationally with a number of awards.
Ranked number one for ease of Starting a Business
The Companies Office again secured New Zealand’s position as the number one ranked country for ease of Starting a Business, according to the World Bank Doing Business 2010 rankings.
Most helpful government agency 2003-2008
For six years running the Companies Office has been rated the most helpful government agency in an annual Compliance Cost survey conducted by Business New Zealand and KPMG.
Note | In 2009 KPMG did not complete their annual Compliance Cost survey but they hope to continue doing this again in 2010.
Hitwise Top 10 Online Performance Award 2008
The Companies Office website was ranked number 1 in the Hitwise New Zealand 'Business and Finance - Business Information' category for 2008.
This ranking relates to the number of New Zealand based users visiting New Zealand websites from January 2008 to December 2008.
Finalist in the World Contact Centre Awards 2007 (under 50 seats category)
