How do you correct mistakes in annual return details?

If, after filing a company's annual return you notice that some of the details are not correct you can update them by updating the company details.  This might be to correct or update director, shareholder or address details.

However, if you recorded incorrect details on the annual return regarding the Annual Meeting you will need to file an 'Amended Annual Return' to show the corrected details.  There is no cost for filing an 'Amended Annual Return' - it is FREE.

To file an 'Amended Annual Return'

  • Download form 12 - Annual Return [87 kB PDF].
  • Print the word AMENDED clearly across the top of the form.
  • Complete the annual return so that all the details are correct - think of this as a replacement return.  If you cannot fit all the shareholder details in the space provided on the form, please attach a separate list to the return and include a note stating that this is what you have done.

    Note
    | You can type the correct details into the form before printing it or print a blank form and complete it neatly by hand.

  • Send us your amended annual return via the Lodge other documents service on the website.

From the Online Services – Do It Now menu choose Other Maintenance and select the option for Lodge Other Documents.

Alternatively, you can post the completed amended return to the Companies Office.  The address is provided on the form.  We will scan the 'Amended Annual Return' and present this scanned image on the website so that it is available to anyone wishing to search the company's records.
