Getting a new igovt password
Have you forgotten your igovt password or username?
Username
If you have forgotten your username you will need to call us.
- From New Zealand: 0508 633 564 (0508 MED LOGON) (toll free)

Password
If you've forgotten your password:
- Click on the Log on link (You'll find it at the top of this website).
- Then from the igovt screen select the Forgot your password? link.
- You will then need to enter enter your username and email address. Please ensure that you enter the same email address that you've registered with us.
- After you correctly answer the reminder questions to verify your identity, we will email you a temporary password. You will need this to change to a self-selected permanent one the next time you log on.
If your password has expired:
- Your password will expire every 12 months, when you logon to the website after your password has expired you will automatically be directed to the 'Change your password' screen.
- Follow the steps on screen to complete the change.
- Once you have changed your password you will be returned to the website.
