The Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Act 2010 received Royal Assent on 7 September 2010.

This Act introduces a prudential supervision regime for insurance companies. This regime is administered by the Reserve Bank. The Insurance Companies (Rating and Inspections) Act 1994, Insurance Companies' Deposits Act 1953 and parts of the Life Insurance Act 1908 are repealed as from 7 March 2012.
