For disqualified directors

— filed under:

A disqualified director is a person that has been banned (prohibited) from managing companies under either the Insolvency Act 1967 or the Companies Act 1993.

A search will confirm whether or not an individual has been banned, details of the Act under which the director was banned, and the duration of the prohibition.

  • Searches of this database are FREE.

There are two options available to you for conducting a Disqualified Director Search

1. Quick search

[image] search the register quick search option.

Click on the Search the register tab in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Refine your search by clicking on Options and select the Disqualified Directors option.

To view instant results on screen just begin entering your search criteria into the 'Search' field.  For a disqualified director search this might be the director's surname.

A list of possible matches will be displayed on screen and you can click on any one of these results to view the details of that company.

Click on the SEARCH >> button to display the complete search results for your search criteria.

2. Advanced Search

From the Do It Now menu choose Advanced Search

Under 'Enter your search criteria' select the Search for Directors and Shareholders option.  Then specify that you want to search for Disqualified directors.

Note | Each time a new company is incorporated or a new director is appointed to an existing company, the Companies Office checks to ensure that the director is not bankrupt or a disqualified director.
