Unlimited companies
Unlimited companies are quite rare - they are used to meet very particular, frequently foreign, legal requirements. We recommend that you take legal advice if you are contemplating incorporating an unlimited company.
How do you register an unlimited company?
Follow the same steps outlined here in our 'Starting a company' section for a limited company.
Begin by reserving a company name then submit an application to incorporate. The key differences are:
- Reserving a company name - Select the entity type 'NZ Unlimited Company'
- Constitution - Unlimited companies must provide a constitution detailing their unlimited liability status.
