Training for health and safety representatives

 ACC funds selected providers to deliver training courses to elected health and safety representatives. This page covers how to enrol your representatives on the training courses.

Improving employee participation in health and safety

As an employer you can improve employee participation in health and safety by ensuring:

  • your elected health and safety representatives receive effective training in workplace heath and safety functions, and have a clear understanding of what their responsibilities are as health and safety representatives
  • you allocate the time so the health and safety representatives can contribute to reducing workplace injuries.

To help you achieve these goals, ACC is funding selected providers to deliver two-day training courses to your elected health and safety representatives. These courses:
