Syndicating content

If you provide business support services, you can use up to two of our small business lessons for free on your website.

Our lessons are designed to be hands-on learning experiences to help small business owners gain the skills to develop their business.

The content is presented to your website visitors in an interactive e-learning platform. Users navigate through page by page and are prompted to record ideas and actions for their business as they read the content. The lessons include links to additional downloadable templates and articles.

Choose from any of these categories.

How embedding works

The lesson embedding code consists of a few lines of html/Java Script that you need to paste into the page where you want the lesson to appear. This is usually straightforward for anyone with basic html skills.

We'll send you unique embedding code for each lesson you want to deliver on your site.

You'll need a screen area at least 610px wide to hold each lesson. In addition to the lesson code, you'll also need to add an acknowledgement to business.govt.nz as the provider of the content. We'll send you details of this along with your embedding instructions and code.

To set up a lesson you need to:

  1. Choose the titles you would like to have on your site.
  2. Contact us to let us know what content you need embedding code for. We'll email you the code with detailed instructions.
  3. Create a new page to contain each lesson.

  4. Add a title (titles are provided with your embed codes).
  5. Paste the embedding code where you would like your content to appear.
  6. Add the acknowledgement as outlined above.
