How to increase the size of the text on screen

If you are having problems viewing the text on companies.govt.nz you can increase the size of the text displayed on screen.  

To change the text size using just your mouse or your keyboard, the following methods work for most browsers -

  • Hold down the control ‘Ctrl’ key and roll the mouse wheel up (toward the screen) to make the text larger or roll the mouse wheel down (away from the screen) to make the text smaller.
  • Hold down the control ‘Ctrl’ key and press the plus ‘+’ key to make the text larger or the minus ‘-’ key to make the text smaller.

    Note | For Macs use the Command key (apple key) in place of the Ctrl key.

 

To change this setting using options from your browser's menu depends on the browser you are using.

Internet Explorer

Version 6

  • Select the 'View' menu, then 'Text Size', and choose a larger text display size (Largest, Larger, Medium, Smaller, Smallest) or

Version 7

  • Select the 'View' option from the main menu, then 'Text Size', and choose a larger text display size (Largest, Larger, Medium, Smaller, Smallest)

 

Mozilla Firefox Version 2

  • Select 'View' from the main menu, then 'Text Size', and choose to either Increase Ctrl++ or Decrease Ctrl+- to change the text size.

 

Netscape Version 6 or 9

  • Select 'View' from the main menu, then 'Text Size', and choose to either Increase Ctrl++ or Decrease Ctrl+- to change the text size or

 

Opera 9

Select 'View' from the main menu, then 'Zoom', and choose the percentage by which you wish to zoom (50% being the smallest, 200% being the largest)

 

Safari Version 2 (Mac)

Select 'View' from the main menu, then choose either 'Make Text Bigger' or 'Make Text Smaller'.

To view or print some of the forms, reports, and documents on this website you will require PDF viewing software such as Adobe Acrobat Reader.  If you are experiencing problems downloading our forms, make sure you have updated your PDF reader to the latest version.
