Air Travel

The All-of-Government contract for Air Travel has been let by the New Zealand Ministry of Economic Development on behalf of government agencies. The contract is managed by a Centre of Expertise (CoE) at the Ministry of Economic Development.

There are 13 geographical regions covered by this contract:

  • New Zealand Domestic
  • Trans–Tasman
  • Pacific Islands
  • South East Asia
  • North Asia
  • Asia Central
  • Indian Sub-Continent
  • Middle East
  • Africa
  • Europe
  • North America
  • Central America
  • South America

 

The panel of suppliers includes:

  • Air New Zealand Limited
  • Emirates Airline
  • Lufthansa German Airlines
  • Qantas Airways Limited
  • Singapore Airlines Limited

The initial contract runs until 1 December 2016, with two right of renewal of 12 months each.

The Buyers Guide details which carriers make up the panel of providers for each region. Air New Zealand is the sole preferred airline for domestic air travel.

The CoE will work directly with the Chief Executives’ nominated contact for the Air Travel contract to complete the sign-up process and support transition onto the contract at the appropriate time. Please email coe@med.govt.nz if you have any queries.
