External Recruitment Services
All-of-Government contracts for External Recruitment Services have been secured with 44 recruitment companies.
The contracts are based on the supply of Primary Services, being recruitment services for:
- permanent employee, temporary staff and contractor placements
- to common corporate, administration and information technology roles
- in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch.
The AoG contract offers agencies
- competitive Provider fees
- reduced cost-of-engagement for both government agencies and Providers
- standardised service descriptions and terms and conditions of supply (e.g. candidate warranties, permanent conversion)
- a consistent process for ordering recruitment services based on good practice under a Recruitment Services Order
- equity of access for government agencies to a range of Additional Services at contracted prices
- enhanced reporting on government recruitment spend activity and Provider performance
- opportunity to leverage the terms and conditions for Primary Services to other areas of supply (i.e. roles in ‘specialist’ job families, roles in other regions).

The Recruitment Services Order
Agencies can only purchase from the contract once they have signed a Letter of Accession to join the contract. The Recruitment Services Order (RSO) is the standardised All-of-Government approach for Participating Agency recruiters and hirers to request the services available.
