e-Marketplace
What is the eMarketplace?
At its heart, the eMarketplace is a single access shopping portal that every NZ government agency can sign up and have access to. It houses multiple supplier’s products that have been negotiated under the AoG contracts and allows for full purchase and procurement of these products. The eMarketplace is also fully configurable, allowing for each agency to decide what contracts they wish to view and buy from. The site allows for unique user profiles where products can be restricted to different levels, meaning that each agency has the ability to manage their consumption and identify cost savings easily and effectively.
Using the eMarketplace
Using the NZ Government eMarketplace couldn’t be simpler. Touted as having the same look and feel as most well-known e-commerce shopping sites, the eMarketplace follows recent trends of simple shopping carts and minimal-click ordering. Each agency also has the ability to decide how they will use the eMarketplace, from full integration with their financial and supplier relationship management (SRM) systems for seamless reporting, down to more traditional methods of paper invoicing.
The eMarketplace also contains a full comparison function, meaning that multiple supplier products can be placed alongside one another to ensure that the product the agency selects is not only right for their specific needs, but the best deal too.
