Proxima helps other businesses become more resilient and sustainable. Car travel once made up a big part of their carbon footprint. But they’ve done several things to change that.
The business never owned company cars, but often used petrol-powered rentals, taxis and ride shares. To lower emissions, they switched to using Zilch, an electric car share service. All staff got a Zilch membership and training on how to use it. It’s now the default for any car travel in the city. The team find it a great companion to the e-bikes they use for shorter trips.

“While we don’t clock up lots of mileage, it’s important we do what we can to lower our impact,” says Sally Wilkins, Sustainability Consultant. “In 2020, we reduced our C02 emissions by more than 90kg by using Zilch instead of a petrol car.”
