From 6am on Sunday 28 February Auckland is at Alert Level 3 and the rest of New Zealand at Alert Level 2. Restrictions are in place for businesses to keep workers and customers safe.

Travel documents that were issued when Auckland was at Alert Level 3 earlier in February are still valid. To replace documents, update workers, or make a new request please log into the business travel register.

Hawke’s Bay: Free business events this November

The first ever Kiwi Business Boost, presented by businesss.govt.nz, is coming to Hawke’s Bay. Events will be held in Wairoa, Napier, Hastings and Waipawa on 11th – 21st November.

Give your business a boost with free one-on-one expert sessions, workshops and inspiring stories from small businesses. The Kiwi Business Boost brings together private and public sector, with partners like New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Hawke’s Bay Business Hub, Inland Revenue, PopUp Business School and 30+ more.

Events will focus on the following areas:

  • Getting started: Registering, planning, naming, research, structure, funding
  • Growth: Sales, marketing, innovation, grants, exporting, accessing finance, using digital technology
  • Sustainability and wellbeing: Environmental and social enterprise, mental health
  • Risks and operations: Health and safety, intellectual property, privacy
  • Cash flow: Understanding finances, tax and accounting
  • Staff: Hiring and retaining employees, leave and holidays, managing people, leadership.
