Electric and hybrid vehicles cut running costs
Nuralite develops and supplies roofing and waterproofing. Flat roofs, tanking and decking are their specialities.
To help lower their climate impact, Nuralite switched their car fleet to electric and hybrid. They also got electric forklifts for their Auckland and Christchurch warehouses. Together, these changes have slashed emissions from company vehicles by an impressive 80%.
The new fleet is also saving the business money. While the upfront cost for electric vehicles is higher, the operating costs are much lower. And when they upgrade, Nuralite can sell the vehicles for a higher price.
