Supplying government contracts during the fuel response
- If you are already supplying to government, keep delivering services as usual under your existing contract, unless your agency advises otherwise. Your contract or relationship manager is your main point of contact.
- You are best placed to identify if any fuel supply issues may affect your ability to meet your contractual obligations. Contact your government agency as soon as possible and share evidence of any impacts.
- Suppliers and agencies should work together to agree on practical ways to maintain delivery. Mitigation measures should be specific, time-bound and documented.
- If you’re currently tendering for projects, discuss with the government agency how potential fuel-related cost increases or supply delays could be managed over a defined period.
- Review your business continuity plans and consider what changes in fuel supply settings mean for your operations and your own supply chains.
