At their holiday park, in Mārahau, they’re working hard to minimise waste.
They’ve designed and commissioned a custom-built recycling trailer. This makes it simple to collect, separate, and transport recyclables.
Once the bins are full, the trailer’s hitched to a vehicle and towed to the local recycling centre.
In the first year, the new system reduced waste to landfill by 60%. That was cut by another 25% the following year.
