Out with new and in with the old

Thankyou Payroll's head office is in Wellington. It’s an organisation, and a payroll system, designed to make a difference.

When setting up their office, the team bought good-quality second-hand computers and monitors where possible.

They also searched for pre-loved desks and chairs still in great condition.

To help break up their space, they repurposed wooden pallets into beautiful dividers on wheels. They added some greenery too.

And they had team outings to nearby op-shops for colourful items to brighten up their walls.

By not buying new, they’ve made the most of what already exists. They’ve saved money as well as raw materials.
