Having your own business.govt.nz account lets you find and save advice that’s personalised to your business.

With your own account you’ll:

  • get pointed to topics that suit your interests and business stage
  • be able to pick up where you leave off on tools and resources
  • be able to save your results when you complete a tool.

Starting an account

You have two ways to start a business.govt.nz account:

  • provide an email address and pick a unique password
  • use the log-in details from an existing Google, Microsoft or RealMe account.

Logging in

Logging in depends on how you started your account. Log in with either the:

  • email address and unique password you used to start your business.govt.nz account
  • log-in details from the Google, Microsoft or RealMe account you used to start your business.govt.nz account.

Resetting your password

If you can’t remember your password, you can reset it. We’ll send an email to the email account you used to create your business.govt.nz account. Follow the link in the email to reset your password.

Switching your account

You can create another account at any time, as long as you use a different email address. But, you cannot move any saved information from one account to another - like the results from a tool, for example.
