Brightly is an IT services company with a focus on sustainability. They’re serious about minimising their environmental impact, and that starts with energy use in their office.
The Brightly team work from the GridAKL Lysaght building. Its energy efficiency was one of the main reasons they moved in several years ago. The Auckland co-working space includes efficient air con, LED lighting, automatic timers, motion sensors, and plenty of natural light. All this ensures energy is only used when needed.
The team use data from their landlord to track energy use and carbon emissions. They also work closely with other tenants to conserve power.
“Climate impact is the number one sustainability focus for us. Where we work is a big part of that,” says Mike Carroll, Founder and Principal Consultant. “It’s great to be sharing a space where everyone works together to reduce the overall carbon footprint.”
